Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of departmental daily work activities
• Monitor various stages of manufacturing in-process checks and sampling in accordance to batch record specifications, SOPs and GMPs
• Assist with readings of chart recorder units for temperature/RH environmental monitoring
• Assist with collecting of water samples, associated to the water filtration system
• Ensure proper status identification to in-process and finished products
• Report all violations regarding GMP’s, SOP’s and proper cleaning of packaging/production areas to Quality Management
• Audit accountability and assuring the quality of all finished products by performing visual inspections (AQL’s) and sampling
• Inspect products being manufactured; measure, weigh or test products to ensure their quality meets its specifications. Test product on different parts of the production line or randomly. Monitor and inspect equipment used for inspection to make sure the equipment continues to function properly. Generate reports as required
• Collects samples as required (i.e. stability, in-process, retain, finish product)
• Assist with the review of executed batch records as well as to coordinate with production necessary corrections
• Train personnel as required
• Coordinate special projects within specified time periods as assigned by area manager
• Assist with Document Control activities as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or 2 years of college preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a regulatory/compliance environment, to include quality inspection and auditing responsibilities
  • Familiarity with FDA, CFR, as well as other regulated industries
  • Flexible hours, able to rotate shifts as needed and overtime as required, including weekends.
  • Available to travel between facilities as required
  • Ability to operate basic computer software, i.e. Word and Excel and e-mail applications
  • Able to stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs unassisted
  • Comply with company safety procedures and policies
  • Attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once all while ensuring that quality and standards are met
  • Must be fluent in English (both orally and written) and have good computer skills
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools
  • Has a “whatever it takes” attitude
  • A track record of performance meeting targets and objectives
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
