Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages inventory levels while maintaining accurate data in WMS
  • Gains understanding of available space and inventory organization in each warehouse
  • Performs regular inventory counts to ensure inventory data is accurate and in accordance with shipping and receiving logs
  • Assists with cycle counts as needed by the department
  • Provides assistance creating orders and replenishments
  • Develops and implement systems for accurately managing inventory
  • Closely work with warehouse managers to allocate inventory and ensures seamless movement of products and inventory
  • Manages the scheduling aspect of shipments and pickups
  • Analyzes inventory statistics to determine best sellers and under performers
  • Coordinates with warehouse and shipping teams to plan and schedule distribution of inventory items
  • Documents inventory discrepancies and informs upper management
  • Compiles inventory reports detailing inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data
  • Orders inventory as needed and track order shipments
  • Suggests seasonal buys on carryover items to maximize cost savings
  • Maintains records regarding inventory control, intake, and sales
  • Provide recommendations for better inventory control

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, operations management or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in inventory control
  • Proven experience in managing merchandising and retail operations
  • Knowledge of inventory control practices
  • Proficiency in SAP and JDA preferred
  • Results-driven and highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Has a track record of successful continuous improvement initiatives and results
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, able to quickly adapt to change and remain flexible
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills, time management, leadership and analytical skills
  • Ability to take and give the proper constructive criticism where it is due
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Has a “whatever it takes” attitude
  • A track record of performance meeting targets and objectives
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented and flexible, enjoying working in a fast-paced and at times challenging environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be available to travel if required

Full-time, M-F 9am – 6pm. Must be able to work flexible and/or extended shifts and weekends as business needs dictate.
