Caffeine is a widely used ergogenic aid that benefits physical and cognitive sports performance, but new research suggests a testosterone boosting effect as well. While no subsequent performance effects were observed, and no between-trial differences existed for blood lactate, salivary cortisol, or cognitive function, there was a 70 percent increase in testosterone. Practitioners may wish to consider using caffeine to boost testosterone levels.
